So I kept hearing how Coffee Mate creamer (and other brands) were full of ingredients that are just not good for your body. BUT, instead of quitting, I just divulged even more. I am definitely a 2-3 (let's be honest...sometimes 4) cups of coffee a day drinker. I tried black coffee....couldn't swallow it. I tried almond milk and Stevia packets....TOO sweet and not creamy enough. Then, I had a friend tell me that she used half & half + coconut sugar! My first reaction: what in the world is coconut sugar?!? At this point I was willing to try anything so I searched for coconut sugar at our local grocery store and sure enough, they had it!
I have to admit, I didn't have very much faith in this combination as my two previous attempts flopped. Plus I had to walk right by the flavored coffee creamers in order to grab half & half. Why is it that Coffee Mate is almost always on sale and I came pretty close to just caving and buying it again. But then I remembered, I want to feed my body well. So in my cart when half & half + coconut sugar!
For a travel size mug of coffee I add a TBSP or two and a spoon full of coconut sugar....it's so yummy! If you try this and it works for you, I would love to hear about it! If I can quit Coffee Mate cold turkey.....so can YOU!
